MUTTON & POTATO CURRY

Time Preparation : 60 minutes
Ingredients :
1 Kg Mutton, cut into cubes
2 medium Potatoes
2 Medium Onions
6 cloves of garlic
1 inch piece Ginger
3 Medium Tomatoes
1 tsp Whole Pepper ( Kali Mirch)
1/2 tsp whole Cloves ( Lavng)
1 tsp Cumin seeds ( Zeera)
1 tsp Turmeric ( Haldi)
6 green Chillies
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
Tamarind
Salt to taste
5 tbsp Oil
How To Cook :
1. Wash and cut into cubes.
2. Wash, peeled and halved the potatoes.
3. Slice Onions, peel and slice half the garlic and ginger.
4. Soak tamarind.
5. Grind remaining half of garlic and ginger.
6. Heat fat. Fry onions, sliced garlic, ginger and whole chillies.
7. Add turmeric, Coriander powder and chilly powder. Fry well, sprinkling water from time to time.
8. When well fried add the ground ginger and garlic, Meat and fry for 5 minutes.
9. Add potatoes and salt with warm Water.
10. Cook gently till meat is tender.
11. Add tamarind water, Bring to boil and remove from fire. Serve Hot.
